The perfect outdoors weekend would be spent at Cumberland Falls State Park. The falls itself is very special. It has the only moonbow in the western hemisphere. It is visible on a clear night under a full moon. To go along with this there are 17 miles of hiking trails and the people are friendly and welcoming.
I would stay at Dupont Lodge. I think staying in one of the individual cabins is the way to go. The best dining is inside the lodge itself. They offer a wonderful buffet for a reasonable price. The views from the lodge are also fabulous. |
